Tea This Week — September 28, 2026
Deals
Checked this week (all seen on 2026-09-28, directly on each shop’s own site).
A quiet week on the discount front. Yunnan Sourcing’s black-tea clearance rolls into its fourth week with one sampler gone, and nobody else has a markdown. The more interesting movement is in new arrivals: Seven Cups has put its whole 2026 white-tea range on the shelf.
Yunnan Sourcing US — black-tea clearance, week four
The On Sale Now page is still all black tea (红茶) and still the only real sale among the eight shops we track. Prices are unchanged. The one change is that the Purple Tea Sampler has sold out, so ten discounted items remain — eight teas and two samplers.
| Tea | Size | Was | Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Imperial Grade Jin Jun Mei, Tong Mu Guan | 50 g | $14.75 | $11.00 |
| Wu Yi “Golden Peony Varietal” | 50 g | $14.00 | $12.00 |
| Feng Qing “Classic 58” Dian Hong | 100 g | $13.00 | $10.00 |
| Purple Needle Black Tea, Jing Mai | 100 g | $13.00 | $11.00 |
| Yi Wu Wild Arbor Assamica | 50 g | $11.75 | $10.00 |
| Feng Qing “Golden Pekoe #100” | 50 g | $11.50 | $9.50 |
| Tong Mu “Hua Xiang” Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong | 25 g | $9.75 | $8.25 |
| Imperial Yixing Hong | 25 g | $7.50 | $5.00 |
The two samplers still discounted are the Robust Yunnan Black Tea Sampler at $52 → $42 and the Lincang Dian Hong Sampler at $44 → $36. If you are new to Yunnan black tea, the Lincang sampler is the cheaper way to find out whether the malty, sweet-potato Dian Hong style is for you before committing to a 100 g bag.
The standing offers still stack on top: free gifts and BOGO in five tiers starting at $45, and free US shipping on $75+ . Two pieces of fine print worth knowing. The BOGO page says “You must add the BOGO item to your cart for the code to work!”, and the shipping page says the $75 threshold is measured after any discount code or loyalty voucher is applied, so a cart that dips under $75 once a code is entered pays shipping.
Seven Cups — the 2026 white teas have landed
No sale, but a real reason to visit. Seven Cups’ New 2026 Teas category is now dominated by this year’s white teas, and it is the full range rather than one or two:
| Tea | Type | From |
|---|---|---|
| Baihao Yinzhen (Silver Needle) 2026 | Organic white, Fujian | $26.00 |
| Bai Mudan (White Peony) 2026 | Organic white, Fujian | $25.00 |
| Shou Mei (Longevity Eyebrow) 2026 | Organic white, Fujian | $19.75 |
| Tieguanyin Baicha (White Tieguanyin) 2026 | White tea from the Tieguanyin cultivar | $20.00 |
| Yue Guang Bai (White Moonlight) 2026 | Yunnan white | $16.75 |
| Bai Long Xu (White Dragon Whiskers) 2026 | Yunnan white | $19.00 |
For an amateur this is a good week to do the classic side-by-side: a Fujian Bai Mudan against a Yunnan Yue Guang Bai, brewed the same way, to taste how much the big-leaf Yunnan material changes what “white tea” means. The 2025 pressed cakes of Yue Guang Bai and Bai Long Xu are still listed alongside if you prefer something that will age on a shelf.
Everyone else
- Old Ways Tea repeats the same line for a fourth week: “2026 harvest is complete — black teas should arrive soon and oolong teas later in the year.” No sale, nothing new on the front page.
- Tea Drunk has no markdowns across its 105 listings. The Moon Festival Tea Party it was promoting has come and gone (September 27).
- Red Blossom (154 products) and White2Tea (1,121 products) each carry zero discounted items this week. Red Blossom’s standing banner is unchanged: “Free shipping on US orders $100+.”*
- TeaVivre and Verdant Tea blocked automated access for a fourth straight week. If either is on your list, check by hand.
